After reviewing over 40 resumes and interviewing several qualified candidates with the expert guidance of our consultant, Rebecca Kirby, of Metamorphosis Consulting Services, INAAP has named Jean Caster to serve as it's new Executive Director! Ms. Caster has nearly 20 years of experience working with not-for-profit health care organizations including the Indiana State Medical Association. Additionally, she has nearly 15 years of executive/senior level management experience and governmental affairs. Ms. Caster most recently served as the Associate Vice President of Business Analytics at MDwise, Inc., Indiana's only not-for-profit managed health care organization serving those on the state's Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana Plan and Care Select health coverage programs. During her tenure with MDwise, Ms. Caster gained valuable experience in strategic planning, health information technology, and proposal writing. She is a graduate of Indiana University's Kelley School of Business where she earned a degree in Business Economics and Public Policy.

Carolyn Downing will be helping us with the transition and orientation for Jean. We could not have done any of this without Carolyn's support and encouragement! We will miss her greatly.

BYLAW AMENDMENTS

 

Both Bylaw Amendments were approved – 1) to limit to two (2) the number of candidates to run for President-elect and for district office vacancies (district chair, district vice chair, and national nominating committee); and 2) to establish an Affiliate Membership category for physician assistants.

 

Of the 45,231 eligible voters, 7,910 ballots were returned (of which 111 were by telephone) for a voter participation rate of nearly 17.5%.
