Important Update About INAAP’s CARE Program

We’re reaching out to share an important update about the CARE Program, INAAP’s statewide initiative that has connected hundreds of families across Indiana with vital pediatric mental health services.

Effective immediately, the CARE Program will temporarily pause all new referrals. This pause comes as the program enters a period of transition. Our current funding runs through June 30, 2025, and while we are pleased to share that we do have a viable path forward, the structure of the program after that date is still being finalized.

In order to responsibly manage this period of change, and to avoid confusion or gaps in care, we ask that all clinicians and staff please refrain from referring new families to the program at this time. During this temporary pause, we will:

  • Continue supporting families that are already enrolled in the program.

  • Work closely with state partners and stakeholders to finalize the next phase of the CARE Program.

  • Focus on ensuring continuity of care and quality service delivery under whatever future model is adopted.

We recognize the vital role the CARE Program has played in supporting your practices and the families you care for. Please know that we remain fully committed to resuming services as soon as we can do so with confidence and long-term sustainability. Thank you for your continued partnership and for all that you do to promote children’s health in Indiana.
