Champion for Literacy kicks off today, and our Champions are ready to get to work.
Each Champion is taking on a $5,000 fundraising goal—a little friendly competition, all for a big impact: bringing more books to children and families across Indiana through Reach Out and Read.
Every $2.50 provides a new book during a well-child visit.

I'm curious how the program decides which clinics or well-child visits receive the books first, and whether families get to choose titles or take whatever is available. It would be interesting to know if there's any follow-up on whether the books actually get read at home.
