Talking about alternative care delivery options...I have been looking into the telemedicine medicaid reimbursement laws in Indiana and it appears (correct me if I'm wrong), that there is a parity law in place, but to be reimbursed the patient must be physically in a spoke site (and may need a prior authorization). I know Trump recently (within the last hour) announced medicare telehealth expansion- to allow phone/ video conference (including common services such as facetime/ skype).
I was wondering if it would be worthwhile writing to Govenor Holcomb (or if it has already been done) to request in this emergency situation to allow for, in addition to the payment parity law that is already in place, to eliminate restrictions o…
