New Resource: Smoking/Vaping and Covid-19

Updated: Jul 10, 2020

Tobacco use affects all parts of the body, especially the lungs. Smokers are at a greater risk for a myriad of chronic health conditions and are more susceptible to respiratory diseases. It is just as important as ever before to keep tobacco cessation a priority.

How does COVID-19 affect people who use tobacco products? Researchers and medical professionals are saying it is reasonable to assume that smoking, and possibly vaping, could increase the risk of developing serious adverse effects from the COVID-19.

Through its partnership with Massachusetts General Hospital, INAAP has created a document to help clinicians explain these dangers patients and families. Use this LINK to access the resource.
